Known colloquially as "The Crossroads of the World" and "The Great White Way," Times Square is one of the most popular commercial intersections in the world, located in Midtown Manhattan, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. Brightly adorned with billboards and advertisements, it is also the hub of the BroadwayTheater District and a major center of the world's entertainment industry. Approximately 330,000 people pass through Times Square daily (over 460,000 on the busiest days), many of them tourists.
